Eco-Thrift is dedicated to reducing waste and resource overuse in our society by returning donated quality items to use. A portion of profits go to supporting local organizations committed to the philosophy of sustainable living. We are volunteer powered!

All donations made to Eco-Thrift should be of high-quality and only gently used.  That means no broken drawers, cracks, chips or signs of excessive wear.  All clothes should be clean and without holes, applicances, outdoor gear, furniture, household items etc. should be clean and in good working order.  We will gladly accept items dropped off at our store, or you can arrange for pick up of larger items at your home or office.  Please call our main office to arrange a pick-up by our bio-diesel truck.

Why should you donate?  All the goods you donate not only help prolong the life cycle of an item and keep it out of the landfill, but pump more money into our local economy.  All goods donated to eco-Thrift are only sold through our store in Fort Collins, and any items we cannot sell, we donate to local organizaitons to find a use for them or recycle materials into something useful to maintain the re-use cycle.

DONATION ITEMS

ACCEPTING:

• working appliances, large and small furniture
• antiques of all kinds, the funkier the better!
• quality clothing, especially outdoor wear
• tools and equipment
• yard and garden
• stereo and small electronics
• computers, p-4 or newer
• outdoor recreation gear
• household and kitchen items
• house plants and pots
• old skis and snowboards

NOT ACCEPTING:

• car seats and cribs
• ceiling fans
• most furniture made from particle board (accepting bookshelves)
• exercise equipment
• construction materials
• items with excessive pet hair and/or smoke odor

WISH LIST:

• point of sale system with software

At this time, we are unable to provide tax-deduction receipts, as we have not yet selected a non-profit partner.
